Value Protection Coverage

VAUE PROTECTION COVERAGE
The Customer may purchase Value Protection coverage from the Company. Value protection purchased from the Company only modifies the Company痴 liability described above and is not in addition to stated liability. When the Customer purchases Value Protection from the Company, articles that are lost, damaged or destroyed while in the care and control of the Company will at the Company痴 option be either repaired, replaced with article(s) of like kind and quality, or a cash settlement will be made for the repairs or for replacement of the article(s) at their current market value, regardless of the age or original purchase price of the article(s).

The Company will not provide protection coverage for items of sentimental value for any more than their current market value. The Customer may purchase said coverage for $150.00 for up to $20,000 of coverage. There is no deductible. $20,000 is the minimum available coverage. Additional coverage is available for $.70 per $100.00 of declared value up to a maximum of $50,000 per truck load. Said coverage is charged per moving event.

Coverage while in storage is available for $.1075 per $100.00 of declared value. Said charges for storage coverage are payable monthly. An inventory list of every item valued at more than $1,000.00 must be provided prior to the move. The coverage applies while the customer痴 goods are in the care and control of Dan痴 Van Lines.

Liability and Value Protection Coverage is for physical damage only and does not extend to the electrical and/or mechanical function of pianos, computers, radios, television sets, phonographs, clocks, refrigerators, washers, dryers, stereos or other technical equipment, appliances or instruments whether or not our employees pack them. We recommend that if necessary such items be serviced and/or supervised by professionals in that particular field.

Claims must be made in writing within five (5) working days after completion of the move. No claims will be honored or processed until the entire amount due under this contract is paid in full. If any building owner or Management Company or any other authority requires the Company to name on its Liability Insurance policy any certificate holder痴 or additional insured痴 there will be a charge of $75.00 per each entity named. Dan痴 Van Lines is bonded and carries a certificate of Liability Insurance for Two Million Dollars.
